A delegation from the World Bank, including Ms. Chiyo Kanda, Country Manager for Maldives and Sri Lanka, Dr. Sascha T. Djumena, Country Programme Coordinator for the Central Asia Country Unit in the Europe and Central Asia Region, Ms. Lada Strelkova, Operations Manager for Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, Dr. Joseph Ese Akpokodje, Task Team Leader (TTL) for the Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia Project (PLEASE), and Ms. Disna Bandara, Environmental Specialist at The World Bank Sri Lanka, visited the SACEP Secretariat on September 07, 2023.
During the meeting, they engaged with Ms. Rokeya Khaton, Director General of the South Asia Cooperative Environment Programme (SACEP), to discuss the current progress updates pertaining to the ongoing project activities of the PLEASE Project.
