On 18th September 2024, the Director General of the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), Ms. Rokeya Khaton, held a productive meeting with Dr. Govinda Prasad Sharma, Secretary of the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Nepal.
During the discussion, the Director General expressed her gratitude for Nepal's continued support to SACEP and the valuable contributions to the PLEASE Project. Dr. Sharma, in turn, appreciated the positive impact of the PLEASE project in Nepal and expressed eagerness to maintain strong collaboration with SACEP. He reaffirmed Nepal's commitment to supporting SACEP’s initiatives and working closely to achieve shared environmental goals.
This meeting highlights the ongoing cooperation between SACEP and Nepal in addressing regional environmental challenges.
