SACEP Director General, Ms. Rokeya Khaton, met with the Hon’ble Minister of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy, Thoriq Ibrahim, along with Deputy Minister Hassaan Mohamed and Permanent Secretary Ajwad Mustafa during her mission to the Maldives on 21st August 2024. During the visit, the Director General provided an update on SACEP's current activities, including the PLEASE project, which has supported the Maldives in addressing plastic pollution. The Minister commended SACEP's efforts, expressed his eagerness to collaborate on waste management initiatives, and showed interest in visiting SACEP's new headquarters in the near future.
