A SACEP delegation led by Director General Ms. Rokeya Khaton attended the “Global Dialogue on Sustainable Ocean Development” in Bali, Indonesia, from 1-5 July 2024. Hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the event brought together a diverse community of professionals dedicated to advancing a sustainable ocean economy.
Over five days, representatives from governments, international organizations, and research institutions worldwide gathered to build a global community of practice for ocean accounting, crucial for supporting the transition to a sustainable ocean economy. The event equipped delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to help their communities and institutions move beyond GDP, enabling them to measure and manage progress toward sustainable ocean development.
