The fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly tagged UNEA-4 commenced on Monday 11 March 2019, under the theme “Innovative solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable consumption and production and will end on Friday 15 March 2019. The Assembly as the one of the world’s highest-level decision-making body on environment has brought together world leaders, thousands of government officials, entrepreneurs, academia among others to share ideas and commit to action. During the High-Level Segment Official Opening session of the UNEA 4, (14 March 2019) the world leaders emphasized that more actions are needed to save the planet. life-cycle approaches to resource efficiency, energy, chemicals and waste management; and innovative sustainable business development at a time of rapid technological change are the way forward
