The environmental impacts of Invasive aquatic species and biofouling are addressed at the 1st meeting of the global Project Task Force (GPTF-1) of the GEF-UNDP-IMO GloFouling Partnership project at IMO headquarters, London, from 18 to 20 March 2019. The invasive aquatic species and biofouling is a global environmental challenge and causes significant harm to the marine environment and biodiversity loss.
The first meeting of the Project partners aimed to discuss the key governance aspects of the Project, the detailed Project Implementation Plan and, more specifically, the project activities for the 2019‐ 2020 period. It is a five years project with 48 million funds (both GEF grant and partners co-finance). SACEP is one of the leading project partners.
