On 223rd July 2024, the Director General of the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), Ms. Rokeya Khaton, had a productive meeting with the Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Mr. Eazaz A. Dar, at the Ministry.
During the meeting, several important topics were addressed. These included updates on the SACEP Headquarters building and the Technical Assistance (TA) to Pakistan under the PLEASE Project implemented by SACEP. The Director General also briefed the Secretary on the recently concluded 16th Meeting of the Governing Council (GC) of SACEP and discussed the significance of the Ocean Climate Policy Program (OCPP) training.
The Secretary thanked the Director General for her leadership and emphasized the importance of involving the private sector in environmental initiatives. The meeting concluded with Mr. Eazaz A. Dar expressing full support for SACEP’s initiatives and future plans.
