Representatives from the member countries of SACEP convened in Thimphu, Bhutan, to reaffirm their shared commitment to regional environmental cooperation. The two-day meeting focused on updating the Articles of Association (AoA) that have guided SACEP since its establishment in 1982. The revised AoA broadens the organization’s mandate, enabling it to respond to climate change with greater agility and coordination. The meeting was chaired by Lyonpo Gyem Tshering, Minister for Energy and Natural Resources of Bhutan and Chairperson of the SACEP Governing Council.
