Virtual Training on Enhancing Capacities of SACEP member countries on provisions for new/updated NDCs and Katowice guidance on ICTU for NDCs


SACEP in partnership with UNFCCC secretariat organized a three-day virtual training on the preparation and submission process of new/updated NDCs and the Katowice guidance on NDCs to its member countries. The aim of the above training was to enhance the technical capacities of the of SACEP member states in their preparation of new/updated NDCs in 2020 in line with further guidance relevant for the preparation and communication of NDCs.

The first day of the three-day training programme kick started yesterday (15th June 2020) for the First group of nominees from SACEP member states who are actively involved in the NDC preparation and communication process from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka along with participants from UNDP Sri Lanka country office.

This will be followed by another three day training programme for the participants from the balance SACEP member states Bhutan, India, Nepal and Pakistan in the near future.
