SACEP delegation, Director General and Senior Programme Officer made a courtesy call with the new secretary of the ministry of Environment, Sri Lanka on 17th January 2024 and had a fruitful discussion on several important matters. During the discussion, the Director General of SACEP congratulated the Secretary for his new appointment and briefed him on SACEP's ongoing projects, and the progress of construction of the new SACEP Secretariat Building. Also she mentioned about the upcoming Governing Council Meeting and the Consultative Committee meeting of SACEP and requested to ensure full participation on those two meetings. The Director General also thanked the Secretary for their excellent support extended to SACEP as a Host Country and highlighted the need of further strengthening of collaboration for the benefit of the region.
