SACEP Director General, Dr. Abas Basir met His Excellency Dr. Ralph Gonsalves Prime Minister, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the margin of UNCC COP14 High Level Segment on 10th September 2019 and briefed him on the SACEP initiative on sustainable nitrogen management. Dr. Basir highlighted the importance of addressing impacts of excess use of chemical fertilizer on land, air and water and requested him to join the nitrogen campaign initiated by South Asia Nitrogen Hub. He acknowledged the negative impact of excess use of fertilizer and thanked SACEP for its initiative.
