The Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network (GCRMN) Steering Committee convened on Sunday, 8th September 2024, ahead of the 38th General Meeting of the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI), which is set to take place from 9th to 13th September 2024 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ms. Rokeya Khaton, Director General of SACEP, participated in the meeting as an invited observer of the Steering Committee. The discussions focused on the strategic approach for GCRMN's upcoming global product, building on the outcomes of the 2023 Steering Committee Meeting, held during the 37th ICRI General Meeting in Hawaii last year.
The event was hosted with the support of the General Organization for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Sea Turtles in the Red Sea (SHAMS).
