A Delegation from IGES- CCET lead by Mr.Kazunobu Onogawa, Director of IGES visited SACEP Secretariat on 23rd January 2020 to discussion on possible co-operation activities in 2020. At the meeting Dr. Abas Basir, Director General, SACEP thanked IGES team for their co-operation extended in 2019 to successfully conduct three Regional Consultation Workshops in South Asia and the outcome document ( A Roadmap for Sustainable Waste Management and Resource Circulation in South Asia, 2019-2030) which was adopted by SACEP member states during the last Governing council of SACEP. Both the organizations agreed that it is important to implement the strategic recommendations highlighted in the above Road map at national/local level and agreed to work more on this.
