At Clean Air Week in Bangkok, Mr. Norbu Wangchuk, Director General of SACEP, joined a high-level panel discussion organized by ICIMOD on advancing a regional clean air roadmap for the Indo-Gangetic Plains–Himalayan Foothills (IGP-HF) region.

Together, the panelists explored how South Asia can better translate scientific evidence into regional policy and investment actions to address cross-border air pollution.
Representing the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), Mr. Wangchuk emphasized the organization’s mandate as an intergovernmental body promoting regional environmental cooperation. Mr. Wangchuk reaffirmed that SACEP will continue to work closely with ICIMOD, UNEP, UNESCAP, and regional partners to advance cleaner air, healthier communities, and climate resilience across South Asia.
