SACEP Bilateral Meetings with National Focal Points and other representatives from its member states at UNFCCC, COP 28, Dubai, UAE


In a series of impactful bilateral gatherings at COP 28 in Dubai, UAE, Ms. Rokeya Khaton, spearheading SACEP, engaged in substantive discussions with esteemed National Focal Points (NFPs) and representatives from member states. Notable figures included Dr. Farhina Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh; Ms. Tashi Pem, Director General at the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Bhutan; and Mr. Asif Hyder Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Pakistan.

Furthermore, Ms. Rokeya held insightful deliberations with Dr. Buddi Sagar Poudel, Joint Secretary (Technical), and Mr. Gyanendra Kumar Mishra, Under Secretary (Technical), Head of Development Cooperation Coordination Section, Ministry of Forest and Environment, Nepal.

In these bilateral forums, Ms. Rokeya thoroughly explained the range of activities undertaken by SACEP throughout 2023, offering insight into the organization's strategic plans for the upcoming year in collaboration with various partners.
