The Consultative Committee meeting of SACEP held today at SACEP secretariat at 11.00am chaired by H. E. Tareq Md Ariful Islam, High Commissioner, High Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the Chairman of the Consultative Committee.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Second Secretary (Economic), High Commission of the Republic of India, Ms. Mariyam Zahir, Second Secretary, High Commission of the Republic of Maldives, Mr. Biswash Bhatta, Second Secretary, Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Ms. Asma Kamal, First Secretary, High Commission of Pakistan and Dr. Md. Masumur Rahman, Director General of SACEP attended the meeting.
Ms. Priyankari Alexander, Programme Officer and Administrative Officer – in-charge and Mr. W.K. Rathnadeera, Senior Programme Officer made a presentation on different activities of SACEP before the committee.
The welcome address was delivered by H. E. Tareq Md Ariful Islam, High Commissioner, High Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the Chairman of CC-SACEP. The Director General thanked the Chairman and the members of the Consultative Committee for their continued support extended to SACEP for implementation of its Governing Council decisions.
